So a quick recap of the weekend.
Got to Madison around 8. Got situated and relaxed for a bit. Then went downtown with a high school buddy and Tanya. Enjoyed a few drinks and then got back fairly early. Tanya was a little tired because she gets up early for work.
Saturday started pretty early with Tanya and I going to the zoo. The zoo was fun but hot. Unfortunately, the penguins weren’t swimming when we went by them. After the zoo, we got lunch at a Chinese buffet and stopped by Hobby Lobby so Tanya could look at flowers for the centerpieces. I lazily watched as she explained her preferences for flowers. After Hobby Lobby, we stopped by the reception hall since we hadn’t seen the inside yet. Unfortunately, it was all locked up. Next, we went back home and took a nap before church. After church, my grandparents ate dinner at our house and we talked for awhile.
After dinner, my sister Allison, Tanya and I went to a park in a small town near Madison to look at a possible area for our engagement photo. We started snapping some shots and they turned out good so we kept taking pictures. I was very happy to see a duck at the playground since Flock has pictures with a duck around their HQ so I got a few pictures standing on the duck.
After the pictures, Tanya and I meet up with a college friend who is staying in Madison for the summer. We enjoyed a few drinks at the UW Terrace right on Lake Mendota (i think). Two high school friends of mine also stopped by. After the Terrace, we went back to a friend’s house and enjoyed some cigars.
Today, we went out to eat with my parents and her parents at the Crackerbarrel. Before lunch, my parents, Tanya and I stopped at the reception hall to look around. The view of the Capitol building across the lake is going to be amazing at night. After lunch, we stopped by the church that the ceremony will be at and also looked around at the reception hall.
Then, Tanya and I had to go our separate ways. Kinda sucks to part ways for another few weeks after such an awesome weekend. Next time around, I will be at her family reunions were I get to meet some of her family that I haven’t met yet. That could be interesting.

Jon,
Kristen and I checked out the song for the wedding on YouTube, we really like it. You had talked about making it available on this site. It is that still a possibility? Let me know.
Thanks.
